The James K. McPherson Preserve is the PBEE department's 180 acre field site located west of campus, south of Lake Carl Blackwell. A mixture of grassland and oak forest, much of the area is burned every few years for management. Closed to the public, it is an excellent site for field studies and field projects or field trips for courses.
I'd like to encourage use by other departments at OSU as well as scientists from other institutions and will do my best to accomodate any usage requests. Contact me with any questions.
[In the future, I will put species lists and other information here]
